The following stories folktales of Irish mythology collected by Thomas Crofton Croker into the book "Fairy Legends and Traditions of the South of Ireland" which was first printed in 1825. Each of these four stories is about the Pooka (referred to as Phooka herein). The book itself covered many other types of fairies, such as banshee and leprachauns, but only the pooka chapters are provided here. Each is accompanied by Croker's notes.
